The upper register in the interior illustrates the Buddha’s miraculous birth, encapsulating his descent from Tushita Heaven and Queen Maya’s dream, symbolizing the divine nature of his incarnation. The lower register presents the Parinirvana, his passing into final enlightenment, surrounded by mourners, which signifies the cyclical journey of life, death, and ultimate liberation in Buddhist philosophy.
